Detective Pikachu è ormai fuori dalle sale, ma gli appassionati potranno vedere Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution, il gran ritorno del potente Mewtwo, il Pokémon leggendario affrontato dagli allenatori alla fine di Pokémon Rosso e Blu. Il film è stato mostrano al Anime Expo e online sono arrivate le prime opinioni in merito:

Pokemon: Mewtwo Stikes Back Evolution is a worthy adaptation of its original. It will hit you with all the nostalgia, and the 3DCG is hardly noticeable after awhile. Also, Pikachu could not be cuter, but it is Vaporeon who shines!!!

Insomma, solo pareri positivi su questo remake! Sebbene i dettagli sul film siano scarsi, si presume che sarà ambientato nella continuità stabilita in Il film Pokémon – Scelgo te! che ha funzionato come sorta di reboot del franchise Pokémon e ha separato i film e le serie anime principali in universi distinti. Il film è il remake in CGI del film originale del 1998, Pokémon il film – Mewtwo colpisce ancora. Il film segue Ash Ketchum, Misty e Brock mentre vengono invitati da un allenatore che si trova su un’isola remota. Tuttavia, si scopre che l’evento organizzato da questo allenatore è stato inventato in realtà da Mewtwo, e il potente Pokémon cercherà di liberare i suoi compagni dai loro allenatori.
