Coronavirus, Grey’s Anatomy e altri medical drama donano materiali agli ospedali

Molte serie televisive americane stanno aiutando gli operatori sanitari durante l’emergenza coronavirus

Dalla finzione alla realtà. Dei semplici oggetti di scena diventano materiale prezioso da donare agli ospedali del Paese. Grey’s Anatomy e altri medical drama come The Good Doctor e Station 19, stanno donando le loro scorte agli operatori sanitari coinvolti nella gestione degli infetti da coronavirus.  Grey’s Anatomy ha donato guanti, camici e mascherine agli ospedali di Los Angeles, mentre Station 19 ha donato mascherine alla locale caserma dei pompieri. Anche The Good Doctor sta donando materiale dal set agli ospedali, al momento però non si sa cosa, quanto e a chi.

The Resident ha donato abiti, maschere e guanti al Grady Memorial Hospital. La dottoressa Karen Law, reumatologa dell’ospedale, ha ringraziato il cast e la troupe via Instagram per la donazione:

“Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” . To the entire team @theresidentonfox, thank you for this incredibly generous donation of #PPE from your set, including gowns, masks, gloves, and all the things our healthcare workers need to provide safe care for our community during #COVID19. . Yesterday, I had a serious discussion with the residents about how, though supplies are low, a magical shipment of masks is unlikely to arrive. And yet, a magical shipment of masks DID arrive, in the form of this very generous gesture. This kind of community support means so much to our #frontlineproviders who are making many sacrifices to staff our hospitals and care for our community. . Al momento la produzione di tutte queste serie è stata interrotta a causa delle preoccupazioni sulla diffusione del coronavirus. Per molti programmi televisivi questa decisione lascia i fan con l’incertezza su come finiranno le loro stagioni e cosa accadrà dopo, ma stanno ancora trovando il modo di aiutare nella crisi anche se la produzione si è fermata.
